I Thrive on Art!
My association with art - artists - the art world - makes me who I am! Along with music, art has influenced me deeply throughout my life. From a young age, I began as an oil painter, and later developed my skills as a sculptor, a papermaker and as a photographer, as well as a graphic artist. I have now been involved in various aspects of graphic design and production work for over 40 years.
I Thrive on Variety!
Over the years I’ve had opportunity to work as a photographer’s assistant, a printmaker’s apprentice, a studio assistant and wax worker, a foundry worker, a ‘gallery sitter’ in the Canyon Road district of Santa fe - and then, finally as a gallery owner myself (albeit, for a very short time.) I have directed photo shoots, worked on video crews, managed production teams, worked on organizational projects, helped run a recording studio, been a Macintosh technician/consultant and contributed my talents to book, magazine and web production projects.

Upon my arrival to Sedona in 2009, I designed the brochure, advertising and collateral materials for the Sedona Visual
Artists Coalition 2009 Fall Show, “Beneath the Surface” which was held at Tlacapaque. Prior to the holiday season that year, I worked at Garland’s Indian Jewelry taking product shots and assisting to maintain the website. At that time I also continued to maintain the website for the Santa fe Society of Artists of Santa Fe, New Mexico, www.santafesocietyofartists.com as well as a number of other individual artist’s and businesses’ websites, including www.ginnyhogan.com until continuing my studies in film and electronic media in 2010 at Yavapai College and later at Northern Arizona University in Flagstaff. I then began focusing primarily on film projects.

Publications - Books, eBooks, Magazines and Website Design
From its creation in Denver Colorado in the late 80’s ViaMedia Productions has been an independent design and production organization, focused primarily on production editing, layout and design of advertising, books, magazines, newspapers and websites, as well as producing documentary and narrative film in Arizona, Colorado and New Mexico, in addition to experimental film, fine art and graphics work in California.
With an early background in the Fine Arts, I easily transitioned to the visually-oriented career of graphic design beginning with work as B/W darkroom specialist for a local newspaper in Evergreen, Colorado. Then followed by learning traditional layout on-the-job and becoming a layout artist and designer for print and publications throughout the 1980’s - leading into advertising design, product packaging and web design by the late 1990’s and into the 21st century…
Moving on from various capacities in publishing, with highlights such as - Art Director for the National Ski Association in Denver, Colorado - Web Designer for the Santa Fe Society of Artists in New Mexico - Design / Production work for the Georgia O'Keeffe Museum in Santa Fe, NM, Designer for Sedona Visual Artist Coalition upon arriving in Sedona, AZ, where I continued studies in film - earning certificates in Narrative and Documentary Filmmaking at the Zaki Gordon Institute of Independent Filmmaking before attaining a Bachelor Degree in Creative Media and Film at Northern Arizona University in Flagstaff, AZ - All the while I was maintaining ViaMedia Productions in various capacities and raising my daughter as a single parent.

Broca's Aphasia plagues me now after suffering from a heart attack-like episode of takotsubo syndrome, or broken-heart syndrome in April of 2024, which can occur when a person experiences severe emotional or physical stress - which was then followed by a stroke, which has left me with a TBI and a bit of a speech inpediment and changed the way I am now able to communicate... I also have been left with a lack of sensation and mobility on my right side - primarily my right side (dominant) hand, arm, shoulder, and neck.
At ViaMedia Online, we believe that art and design have the power to inspire and transform. That's why we began, to bring creative visions to life.
